Skype WiFi

Skype WiFi is a fantastic way to go online at public WiFi hotspots around the world, using your Skype Credit as payment.
No more fumbling with credit cards or cumbersome sign up processes when you're on the move you can simply use your Skype Credit to get online. You only pay per minute for what you use. There's no need to buy an internet day-pass if all you need is a few minutes of access.

Skype WiFi is available at over 1 million hotspot locations around the world, including airports, hotels, train stations and cafés. You can have full access to the internet subject to the terms and conditions of the hotspot service operator.
You can use Skype on your home or work WiFi network without needing to connect through Skype WiFi.

To use Skype WiFi on your computer you need to have the latest version of Skype, a WiFi enabled computer connected to a public WiFi access point, and Skype Credit on your account.

To use Skype WiFi on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you need to download the Skype WiFi app from iTunes.

To use Skype WiFi on your Android device, you need to download the Skype WiFi app from Google Play.

You can use your existing Skype account to use Skype WiFi. All you need to do is connect to an available WiFi hotspot and Skype WiFi will offer to connect you to the internet at an affordable rate per minute.

It's easy to start using Skype WiFi. All you need is the latest version of Skype and a little Skype Credit.

To connect to WiFi using Skype WiFi:

1. Sign in to Skype.
2. Connect to a WiFi public hotspot.
3. If the hotspot is supported by Skype Wifi then you will be notified in few seconds.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

If you select a network that is not compatible with Skype WiFi, you'll get a message telling you, so you can select another one.

Once connected, you can make Skype calls, surf the internet, or check your email. There is no data limit for using Skype WiFi

Microsoft Account is currently not supported for Skype Wifi. You need to create Skype account.

The amount of minutes used in current session is shown on screen while session is active. You can end your session at any time, but for your protection, Skype WiFi sessions are set to expire after 30 minutes. You will be prompted to extend your session a few minutes before it expires.

You will see the price-per-minute to use Skype WiFi when you join a compatible WiFi hotspot. Just click 'Connect' if you wish to go online.

You pay for Skype WiFi with your Skype Credit. When you start a session, Skype checks your balance and reserves payment for a maximum of 30 minutes of Skype WiFi. You are only charged for what you use; if you use 5 minutes of Skype WiFi, your Skype Credit will be debited for 5 minutes worth only.
